No Suprises Act

The No Surprises Act became effective January 1, 2022. In this law, health care providers must provide you with a "Good Faith Estimate" if you are not using insurance for services.  The "Good Faith Estimate" explaining the cost of your medical and mental health care, to know the expected costs and avoid surprise billing. Make sure you save a copy of you "Good Faith Estimate." If you receive a bill greater than $400 over the "Good Faith Estimate," you can dispute the bill. There is a $25 non-refundable administrative fee to start the process.
